Montana Sport, a handmade quality cigar, is available from the Garnier Cigar Company of Livingston, Montana, established 1886.

Logo: Springer Spaniel black and white dog is its logo, majestically framed by two conifers wrapped with vermilion and gold ribbons picturesquely bannering "Superiores" and "Selected." Six gold medallions with embossed figures are each illustrated. The hunter's dog (right) startles the deer's presence (left). "De la Garnier Cigar Company Extra Quality Leaf" borders the bottom trimmed in a red and gold ribbon.

July of 1886, three years prior to Montana's statehood, Charles Garnier Sr. established his cigar business in Livingston, Montana. Garnier Cigars was the second largest employer; the Northern Pacific Railroad was the principal employer there. In those days, Mr. Garnier's two-for-twentyfive-cent cigars were hand rolled with the finest tobacco from Havana, Sumatra (Indonesia) and Connecticut.

Montana Sport captured a broad intercontinental market, as they produced 40,000 cigars a month: nearly 1600 a day, a 6 day work week, with fifty-person work force.

Today, Garnier Cigar Company's premium cigars are the premium quality cigar aficionados appreciate. The Montana Sport logo brandishes the cigar bands.

Cigar boxes, T-shirts, Henley shirts, caps and many other designer garments, cigar cutters, humidors, calendars carry the Montana Sport logo.
